Farming: OSRS Ironman guide

The most important ironman skill: herbs for Herblore, trees for xp. Runs every 80 min.

Ironman tips

  • Seeds: Master farmers (Thieving 38), Wintertodt, Tempoross, birdhouses, Hespori, Slayer drops, Farming contracts.
  • Herb run every 80 min: ranarr (32), toadflax (38), irit (44), avantoe (50), kwuarm (56), snapdragon (62), cadantine (67), lantadyme (73), dwarf weed (79), torstol (85).
  • Compost: Ultracompost = supercompost + 25 volcanic ash (Fossil Island). Bottomless compost bucket (Hespori).
  • Tithe Farm (34): Farmer's outfit, seed box, herb sack (58 Herblore), grape seeds.
  • Real xp comes from trees: tree runs and fruit trees. Pay the gardeners.
  • Fairytale I: Magic secateurs (+10% yield). Fairytale II: Fairy ring access.
  • Hardwood on Fossil Island (teak 35 / mahogany 55) = your Construction planks.

💡 Farming contracts = THE ironman seed source: pre-plant what gets asked most (maples, cadantine) and request the highest tier. Hespori (65) every 32h: anima seeds (Iasor first, then Attas) and the bottomless bucket.

  • Herb run – Every 80 min. Plant, use ultracompost. Herbs cannot be protected. The Troll Stronghold, Weiss and Harmony patches never get diseased.
