Level 92 Slayer boss in the Morytania Spider Cave (Araxyte or spider task). Melees if you stand next to him; every 6 attacks an egg hatches and he uses an acid special. Below 255 HP he enrages and attacks every 4 ticks.

Melee and venom

Main attack when you are adjacent (max 38; Protect from Melee cuts it to 5). At range he uses magic (drains Prayer) or ranged (drains Defence). Everything inflicts venom: bring anti-venom.

Eggs and araxytes

First egg after 3 attacks, then every 6. Green (acidic): ranged, splatters acid on death. White (mirrorback): reflects damage; kill it with ranged, magic or a halberd from 1 tile away. Red (ruptura): explodes when it reaches you; lure it under Araxxor.

Acid special

Every 6 attacks he uses the same special (set by the south-east egg): a ball in a line, a splatter arc, or a drip that follows you for 6 ticks. Keep moving and stay off the pools.

Enrage below 255 HP

Attacks every 4 ticks with a 1x3 cleave that leaves acid. When he shouts Skree! move 2 tiles sideways or 1 back, or step 2 tiles under him so he hits himself (8-12).

1. Reach the cave with a Spider cave teleport, Hallowed Sepulchre plus the wall shortcut (Sins of the Father, 63 Agility) or fairy ring ALQ.
2. One Elder maul (or Dragon warhammer) special: his Defence can only drop 45 levels.
3. Stay adjacent with crush (bludgeon, mace, Scythe) and Protect from Melee. Count 6 attacks between specials.
4. Araxytes: reds under him, whites with a halberd or ranged, greens can be tanked or killed.
5. Below 255 HP dodge every cleave on Skree!. When he dies harvest the corpse (destroying it doubles the pet chance but forfeits the loot).

• 💡 Without a Noxious halberd, a Rune crossbow with broad bolts or any crush weapon kills the whites; normal melee reflects 50% back at you.
• 💡 Aranea boots block his ranged every 8 ticks and the cleave every 20 ticks. Eggs and araxytes get the slayer helm bonus but do not reduce the task.
• 💡 Keep 6 free slots: he can drop up to 6 supplies (venom sac, prayer potions, sharks) or they hit the floor.
