Why kill it as an Ironman

Bellator ring (slash accuracy), Eye of the duke, Virtus. Very AFK once learned.

First brew 2 poisons from the asylum's salt and mushrooms to wake him; then slash melee up close and behind a pillar. Every 5 attacks his gaze hits 101 unless you are right behind the pillar. At 25% he attacks 1 tick faster.

Brewing poison

Mine 12 salax salt (3x3 vent gas: 12 and -4 Prayer), pick 12 arder and 12 musca running straight past the extremities (70 and freeze), grind and ferment in both vats.

Icicles

In melee range he raises 3x3 icicles (5 with Protect from Melee) then shatters them 1x1 (up to 42 with prayer, always hits). Stand behind the pillar diagonal to him when not attacking.

Blue projectile

If out of melee range he fires magic up to 48, heavy even with Protect from Magic. Never fight at range.

Freezing Gaze

Every 5 attacks: 'turns his gaze upon you'. Directly behind a pillar within 5 ticks or take 101.

Gas Flare

Gas at the vent closest to you (12, less with Slayer helm/gas mask): move to the opposite pillar. 1 flare above 50% HP, 2 below.

Enrage 25%

At 121 HP he attacks every 4 ticks: with a 5-tick weapon hit only every 2 of his attacks. Arclight/Emberlight (4 ticks) sync up.

1. Icy basalt to Weiss, broken fence east, Salt Mine, Ghorrock Dungeon, heavy door north-east (or Ring of shadows with the Frozen tablet).
2. Take the pestle and mortar off the wall, drop 3-4 supplies, gather salt and mushrooms. At 62/70/80 Herblore you brew poison for 2/3/4 kills.
3. Use 2 poisons on him. Protect from Melee + Piety, slash up close, pillar diagonal.
4. Gaze message: behind the pillar. Gas: opposite pillar. Resume on 'You manage to avoid'.
5. Enrage: sync up and dump specs. After the kill run to the mushrooms: he respawns before you get there.

• 💡 Huge Defence: BGS (DWH/maul miss on his crush defence) or Voidwaker. Arclight only gets a 49% bonus here.
• 💡 Leave mist and chaos runes on the ground: they break the Arceuus spell filter. With 80+ Mining and Herblore you only need 2 harvests of each.
