Why kill it as an Ironman

After Secrets of the North, in Ghorrock. It alternates a ranged form (Protect from Missiles, sometimes a magic orb) and a melee form (keep distance: freeze or kite). Specials at 75% and 50%, and below 127 HP a prayer shield broken with Sapphire bolts and Smite.

Ranged form

Ranged up to 61: Protect from Missiles by default. Low ranged defence: hit it with ranged. Swaps after 100 damage.

Magic orb

It stands up and charges a purple orb: Protect from Magic instantly (up to 72). If it lands, Corruption (drains 18 Prayer). Ward of Arceuus prevents it.

Melee form

Hits harder the longer it stands still (up to 34). Low magic defence: freeze it and hit with magic from afar, or kite in an octagon. Swaps after 80 damage.

Specials 75% / 50%

Lightning clouds (up to 20): stand on the safe tile. Homing spikes: stand behind hardened spikes.

Transformation spikes

When it changes form spikes appear, one on your tile. Standing on them knocks you back and heals it ~75% of the damage.

Shield phase (<127 HP)

It teleports to the centre and releases a shockwave (up to 80): hide behind a spike. Then a 75-point prayer shield and it heals 50% of your damage: Sapphire bolts (e), Smite between its attacks, Greater Corruption.

1. Weiss (Icy basalt or POH portal), down through the salt mine into Ghorrock Dungeon and run south.
2. Ranged form: Protect from Missiles and ranged. Watch for the orb and swap to Magic.
3. Melee form: freeze it and magic from afar, or kite. If close, Protect from Melee and step back.
4. 75% and 50%: safe tile for the clouds; block spikes with other spikes.
5. Below 127 HP: behind a spike for the shockwave, then crossbow + Sapphire bolts (e) and Smite. Shield gone, it returns to ranged (5-tick): finish it.
6. Reset at your POH pool or Desert amulet 4 and go back.

• 💡 Arceuus spellbook: thralls, Greater Corruption for the shield, Ward of Arceuus and Death Charge. Alternative: Ancients to freeze the melee form.
• 💡 Ranged-only and it spawns in melee: leave and re-enter. A Ruby bolts spec on the first melee phase also works.
• 💡 Damage during the lightning clouds doesn't count toward the form swap: big damage there can skip the final melee phase.
