Moss giantess in Varrock Sewers. Protect from Magic, keep your distance (she does not walk to you) and carry an axe for the growthlings she summons. The Mossy key opens the gate the first time and then the chest.

Up to 10. Protect from Magic before opening the gate: she attacks on sight.

Up to 16, only if you are in reach. She does not approach: fight from range.

1/5 chance to summon 3; she is immune while they live. Kill them ONLY with an axe or Magic secateurs; a Bronze axe is on the log pile.

Poison

On members worlds she poisons (8). Bring antipoison even while praying.

1. Mossy key from Moss giants. Entrance east of them in the sewer (cut the web) or the 51 Agility shortcut from Edgeville Dungeon.
2. Protect from Magic and open the gate.
3. 50% weak to fire: Fire Blast with a Staff of fire is strongest at low level. Or ranged in d'hide from a distance.
4. If growthlings appear, wield the axe and one-shot them. Back to her.
5. Once dead, open the chest with the Mossy key: the only source of Bryophyta's essence.

• 💡 She drops Mossy keys at 1/16 (1/8 on a moss giant task). Kill her without a key to stack them and open the chest later.
• 💡 The staff stores nature runes and sometimes does not consume them: big alching savings. With Dragon claws or Voidwaker she dies in seconds.
