Why kill it as an Ironman

Ultor ring (str BIS), Executioner's axe head (Soulreaper), Virtus. The easiest DT2 boss to learn.

Melee only (max 32, 43 at low HP) and he heals half of what he deals. Weak to slash. His specials come at random: axes, cracks, the head and the strangle. At 33% he enrages.

Very accurate; Protect from Melee cuts it 75% (8-10). Every hit heals him 50%.

Swinging Axes

Run 2 tiles diagonally out of the axe path (4 if they come from the 3 horizontal quadrants). 35 (half with prayer) plus bleed.

Darting Spikes

Leaves cracks that release tendrils (25, heals him). Stand at the edge next to the tendrils: only 1 crack and never under you.

Head Gaze

Under 570 HP: 'gazes upon you', green projectile: Protect from Missiles. Miss it: -10 Prayer and 3 ticks without overheads.

Strangle

4-6 spores appear on screen: destroy all within 5 ticks or take heavy damage. Right-click > Attack to keep hitting.

1. Fairy ring BLS, west to the rowboat then west (or Ring of shadows with the Strangled tablet). Unlock the shortcut.
2. Slash weapon on slash style, Arceuus for thralls and Death Charge; pre-eat an anglerfish.
3. Attack him to start. Protect from Melee + Piety, stand at the edge next to the tendrils.
4. After 3 autos the axes start: dodge, flick Missiles for the head, break spores.
5. Under 33% (~231 HP) prioritise movement and dump claws/Voidwaker to end it fast.

• 💡 His defence drops with his HP and his strength rises: DWH/BGS specs are useless, use claws early. When learning, tentacle + defender for slash defence.
• 💡 Better NPC Highlight: IDs 12225/12227 for the axes and 12226 for the head. Deaths cost 75% less until 5 kills.
