Why kill it as an Ironman

Chest (Giant key): Hill giant club and rune items. Obor drops keys (1/16) and big bones. Easy starter boss.

F2P giant in Edgeville Dungeon. Protect from Missiles before climbing down, keep him away with Snare and magic or fight him with melee. The Giant key opens the gate the first time and later the loot chest.

Up to 26. Protect from Missiles halves the damage, it does not negate it.

Crush up to 22. Avoid it with Snare and distance, or tank it in good armour.

Knockback

His slam pushes you back and delays your next attack. Fight with your back to a wall.

1. Get a Giant key from Hill giants and unlock the gate west of them in Edgeville Dungeon.
2. Turn on Protect from Missiles BEFORE climbing down the rocks.
3. Magic: Snare him at one end, run to the other and cast your best spell. Repeat when he breaks free.
4. Melee: Dragon scimitar or whip with armour that defends ranged and melee. Faster, more dangerous.
5. Once dead, use the Giant key on the chest: loot (Hill giant club) and kill count.

• 💡 The key is not used up on the gate, only on the chest. Obor drops Giant keys at 1/16: kill him repeatedly without a key to stack them.
• 💡 Weak to earth (20%). Members: Entangle or Ice spells hold him longer than Snare. Giantsoul amulet drops you at the door.
