Why kill it as an Ironman

Egg sacs (grubby key), seeds, Sarachnis cudgel, Jar of eyes. Pristine spider silk (1/50, 2026): Silklined herb sack (100 of each herb). Good training.

Spider in Forthos Dungeon, weak to crush. Protect from Melee next to her, Protect from Missiles when her web pushes you away. She heals on every hit that lands: the less she hits you the shorter the kill.

Up to 31, heals 5 per hit. Protect from Melee next to her. Her reach is longer than it looks.

When she cannot reach you. Up to 31, heals 10. Protect from Missiles.

Sticky web

Every 4 attacks she screeches, binds you 6 ticks and moves away. Protect from Missiles and eat ONLY while bound. Aranea boots negate it.

Spawns

At 66% and 33% two appear: a magic one (max 11) and a melee one (max 13). Kill the blue magic one; tank the melee one with prayer.

1. Xeric's talisman to Xeric's Glade, eastern Forthos Dungeon entrance. Cut the web with a slash weapon.
2. Protect from Melee, Piety if you have it, and hit her with crush.
3. When she binds you: Protect from Missiles, eat and walk back.
4. At 66% and 33% kill the magic spawn and get back on Sarachnis; spawns die with her.
5. She respawns in 10 s. Tiles next to walls are out of her melee range: there with Protect from Missiles she cannot hurt you.

• 💡 Her Sarachnis cudgel is a good early crush weapon and works at Blue Moon and Amoxliatl. Instance for 25k if the world is crowded.
• 💡 Karil's or d'hide for the magic spawn: magic defence matters more than a few Strength points. With Aranea boots you never switch prayers.
